Let's quote!
Hi everyone! I love quotations, and I've got quite a few favourite ones. Do you know what a quotation is? Well, the OED (Oxford English Dictionary) defines it as "a group of words or a short piece of writing taken from a book, play, speech, etc. and repeated because it is interesting or useful".
I invite everyone to post a quotation they like (it can be from a song or book you have listened to or read). If you can't think of one right now, you can always check this site where you'll find lots... Here's some of my favourites:

Let's go to the movies!
We all love going to the cinema and talking about the films we like. Which words will we use in order to talk about movies? Find it out with the activities we propose.
- What are the English words for film genres? Become familiar with them with this easy wordsearch and a crossword
- Now, listen to these people deciding about which movie to rent and answer the questions.
- And how can we describe a film? Which adjectives shall we use? Try this synonyms matching game and this opposites matching game
- Now, listen to these two people talking about the movie About a Boy. Then, do the activity.
- YOUR TURN: imagine you and your classmate have just been to the cinema. Decide which movie you've watched and create a dialogue in which you talk about it
- Finally, in groups of five people, create a five question survey to find out your classmates' film preferences
